Description:GBBN is searching for a design-focused Interior Designer with 6-10 years of professional experience, with proven experience and passion in design. Successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for conceptual design, design development, and construction documents leading to the creation of aesthetically exciting interior environments. This will include programming, planning, designing and drafting detailed specifications for finishes, materials and furniture selection, and working with material resources. In addition, this person will participate in business development and marketing efforts.
Duties:• Collaborate on interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and construction documents;
• Provide design leadership for the project team, including the ability to direct and evaluate design options based on client-driven criteria;
• Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts with ability to develop functional requirements and project-design criteria;
• Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents;
• Participate in the progress of all project drawings, renderings, finishes, furniture, and budgets;
• Coordinate preparation and assist in client presentations;
• Coordinate with consultants to yield integrated final design development package;
• Participate in the development of project workplans, balancing the project’s design and documentation requirements with the project budget;
• Act as a mentor for junior design staff, assisting in their professional development and providing career guidance;
• Participate in business development and marketing efforts, including interviews;
• Develop professional and community involvement in targeted organizations to build a network for business development and professional growth.
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related discipline required;
• NCIDQ, registration/license and LEED AP preferred (or personal development plan to obtain);
• 6-10 years of professional experience;

• Highly skilled in the conceptual process and implementation of that concept in the defined environment;
• Working knowledge of techniques, products, and materials used in workplace and healthcare environments;
• Familiarity with furniture types, materials, manufacturers, representatives and vendors;
• Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness;
• Persuasively and visually communicate ideas effectively and tactfully with project team and clients;
• Ability to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team;
• Bring highly creative and abstract ideas that push the design;
• Excellent time management and organization skills;
• Ability to build relationships and foster trust;
• Strong graphic abilities with experience using some or all of the following: Revit, Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
