|Description:||We are searching for an IT Support Technician to provide service support of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. |
|Duties:|| Monitor and triage helpdesk requests to provide end-users, both technical and non-technical, with support based on user requirements.|
Assist in supporting PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software (Windows, Microsoft Office, Architectural software, etc.).
Prepare and deploy workstations and wireless devices including, iPhones, iPads, Blackberry and Android.
Assist in various IT functions such as hardware and software inventory and, rolling out new systems to end users.
Conduct routine hardware and software audits of systems for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures; and develops/maintains supporting documentation.
Troubleshoot network related issues including but not limited to user or site connectivity, printers, and email.
Assist with virtual servers and maintenance.
Ensure that on-site computer operating systems and anti-virus tools stay current.
Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards to provide implementation strategy.
Participate as a member of a cross-functional technology team.
|Qualifications:|| Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or related field.|
One to three years of desktop support and networking experience.
Experience in a professional service organization, preferably architecture or engineering, is a plus.
Familiarity with Design tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk products (ex. Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) a plus.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
Time management and organization skills.
Participate in off-hours and weekend support of system upgrades and initiatives.
Flexibility in working at multiple locations, and ability to travel between sites and lift/transport as needed.
